The new Bajaj Pulsar 200NS (Naked Sports), has cleverly played with the colors and with different materials by harmonizing metal, plastic, glass, leather and cushion.
Its been 10 years since the Pulsar has been around in the motorcycle market in India. After the original Pulsar sold for a decade, Bajaj has come out with a All New Pulsar - new looks and new technology too.
The New Pulsar is going to be called the Pulsar 200NS Here, NS stands for Naked Sports. After mentioning the words Naked Sports, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj did not deny the possibility of a fully faired version of this bike coming on to the Roads.
High Points: Bajaj plans to sell the New Pulsar 200NS under INR 1,00,000. (Exact prices will be out next financial year 2012-2013) 200cc Single Cylinder, SOHC 4 Valves, Liquid Cooled, Triple Spark Engine. Producing peak power of 23.19 BHP @ 9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of Torque @ 8000 rpm. 6-Speed Gearbox. Fuel Economy on 50-60 Kmpl as per IDC. Nitrox Mono Shock Absorber with independent gas canister at the rear. Finally gets a Petal Disc brake. (Both front and rear) Bajaj claims a 0-60 kmph in 3.61 seconds and 0-100 kmph in 9.83 seconds.
What You'll Like: Finally a different looking Pulsar. Tank looks very macho from every angle. Rear Mono-Suspension which should provide a more composed ride.
What You Won't Like: Fabric / Material used on the seat. Rear Number Plate mount looks odd. (You can expect a full cover over the rear tyre - similar to the new Yamaha R15 2.0 for safety purpose.) Pro-Biking Dealerships have been given away to KTM, so the entire new range of bikes coming up will be under the usual Bajaj Dealerships.
The total revamped design gives a much needed change to the redundant and aging Pulsar series. For years we have been looking at the same tank and headlamp with a few tweaks added again and again. The re-designed tank looks great with sculpted lines which can accommodate your legs to provide for better aerodynamics.
